As the owner and creative director of ReadyDemo, one of the nation's leading Flash demo production companies, I found it very surprising, and disappointing, that no one bothered to create a web site so people can learn about, and get better at, creating Flash product demos. So I made one.

A little background...

Online Flash demos differ from traditional demos in that they are not delivered by a live person. Flash demos, by contrast, serve web visitors around the clock, constantly delivering valuable sales and marketing information to anyone who happens to drop by a web site.

Most of these demos are all about software but, more and more, companies that sell things other than software are realizing the benefits of using the power of sound and motion to sell their products. Further, most demos have been about business solutions geared toward a business audience. Now, more and more consumer-products companies are utilizing the power of the Internet to educate and inform potential customers of their products.

So it seems, throughout this organic growth, no one bothered to tell the story. No one took the time to show what makes one demo more effective than another, why us demo designers make some of the decisions that we do, and how to effectively tell a compelling story about a product's value in an engaging full-motion format.

Why I built this site...

I love Flash demos. They were the one thing I loved creating the most at my last full-time job. That's why I started ReadyDemo, because I love what I do and want to do it for as many companies and products as possible. But some companies simply can't afford to hire a company like mine. And, until this site was created, they also had nowhere to turn for help.
