Flash Demo World - Full-motion Video Examples

Full-Motion Video: Eloqua - Quite Possibly the Coolest Demo Ever

Not the most traditional approach but it's fun and over-the-top-entertaining.

Eloqua Demo Screen

Eloqua Demo

It uses a unique Q & A approach and tons of lighthearted humor. The only problem we have with it is, once you answer a question you can't go back without reloading the browser page and starting over to view another answer. I guess they figure that once a question has been answered, and you travel on your merry way through along that chosen path, that you wouldn't want to know what happens down the other paths.

Even so, one of the most innovative demos ever and flawlessly executed.

Full-Motion Video: Interesting "Fingerpaint" Effect

Most Flash demos are just stock photography or a peppy talking head. But not this one...

ClubSetup Demo Screen

ClubSetup Demo

The product is new and really innovative so they needed something new and innovative to capture people's attention. I think it came out pretty cool.

Don't laugh, that's me, Dan Clark, on camera. I shot it myself on a green screen, which was very challenging. While speaking the script on a teleprompter, it appears that I am moving illustrations on a pane of glass. Sort of like the UPS guy. I did all the animation in post in Flash. The hard part was fading myself from focus while my hand staying in focus. Tony Vecchio did all the illustrations, which are perfect for the consumer audience.

Full-Motion Video: Apple iPod Shuffle

I had a tough time deciding whether this should go into the consumer products category or the full-motion video category. Since it's so good, you'll find it in both...

Apple iPod Shuffle

Apple iPod Shuffle

Since Apple is so aware of bandwidth concerns, it comes in Small, Medium, and Large and the user can choose which one is appropriate for their Internet connection. The product differentiator is the small size, so that's the focus of the whole movie. The talent looks like an Apple employee and she does a great job. If she's a hired pro, she still has a very comfortable, gal-next-door look about her. Of course, lots of white space and simple navigation extend Apple's simplicity mantra.
